Portrait of Mr. O.

In 2002 I was asked by the widow of Mr. O. to paint a portrait based on a photograph of her husband. I have personally known him so I thought it was an interesting assignment. It is a small format painting with handmade oilpaints.

Cieling painting.  I first had the measures taking in the house in London, England. I realised it in Enschede with a border in goldleave. Then I brought it to London and it fitted perfectly.

A decoration of a Waitingroom for a dentist in Enschede with images of Rom, Napels and Venice. With marble painting at the lower parts. For the columns I had a special very smooth plaster put on the wall. This way the resemblance with marble would be more obvious.

Above are two woodcuts in a very special technik. They belong to a series of 8 portraits I did in 2001 in my studio. I invited people to sit for them.

Sensuality

This Triptych is made while I still was in Italy.  I was living in an apartment house with others. One off them was a girl from Thailand.  She inspired me to this work. It is linen with handmade oilpaints.

Pizzeria Rome

In Rome in Italy, I worked as a diverse artist. For example  I decorated 2 restaurants. Both were a pizzeria with Neapolitan roots. The images for the decoration are classic and derived from small watercolors or paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Unfortunately I have no quality pictures of them anymore. But I want to show you it. The images above are made on wooden panels and I used handmade tempera to paint them. 

For another Pizzeria I made the paintings at home.

 This drawing below I made on the island Ischia near

                         Napels. It is on top of the only mountain there. The Epomeo an old vulcano.

 The two drawings here under are made on the beach of  Ostia Lido.  A famous beach for who lives in Rome.
