After I returned from Italy, I was able to rent a studio in Enschede for a couple of years. This was in a temporary wooden building that had once served as emergency school. The classrooms were now rented to artists. The location and room was fine though the building was very vulnerable by its wooden construction. In an early morning it happened that the entire building burnt down .. Tragically, there was also an artist who now for the second time lost everything .. The first time was at the big fireworks disaster in Enschede center.
In
the picture you can see my studio after
the fire. The bookcases had books
on materials, art books and many notes.
