OH MY GOSH

This painting is intentionally created for my toilet. It is Toilet-Art.  It is just for fun and to tease the people who use it...  I had this idea already a long time and in the  toilet of the Alexianer Cafe called "Waschsalon" (next to the cafe is realy a laundry) in Münster near the station it was used also in the mens toilet.

The way I painted this is new to me..  I call it  Minimal-Painting. It gives a rich tonality to the painting. All oil-paints are handmade and it is painted on self-grounded belgium linnen. In this painting I used a colour which I think is not used anywhere else.
The measures are 22.44 x 26.38 inches (57 x 67 cm)

STILL LIVE WITH BOOK

This is a new kind of still live.  It speaks for it self.

The painting is painted on Belgium linnen  with handmade oil colours. I used a minimalistic palet here. All colours/hues are derived from red, yellow, blue with the help of white. The measures are  27.56 x 35.43 inch (70 x 90 cm).

OLDER WORK 2

I have always been a great admire of Degas. I liked his style.  As an hommage to him I made this drawing.  It is done with colourpencil on paper I got from the factory where I was working in those days.  As far as I remember the paper had a grey colour.

The drawing of the girl which I used as basis for this drawing is probably the next image.  I found it on Wikiart.org.   It is made around 1866.

Recently on an Antique Market in Münster (Germany) I saw this statue standing in the corner of a shop. It was announced as Degas but actually it is not the same as the Dancer a bronze made by Degas. But the attitude and bodylanguage is the same.  I liked it.

OLDER WORK 1

I still have some work in my Studio which has no picture of it taken...The sun came out and I shot some pictures of them.
Here is een Etch I did while I was living in Utrecht (The Netherlands).  I could do this work in an big Workshop some where in the Pieterskerkhof.  I don't know if it still exists.  I used an aluminium plate for this work.  It is called drypoint  technique.  Why I choose those two men I don't remember.. The measure of the etch is  11.8 x 15.75 inch   (30 x 40 cm)

Also I liked to do woodprints with a spoon.  Very simple and it could be done without big printmachines....  In those days in Utrecht I liked to visit music events and made drawings of the players...  This way this serie of three is made...  The prints are each  2.95 x 13.58 inch (7,5 x 34,5 cm)

THE MAN WHO WOULDN'T LAUGH.

I like to do a portrait. For studies I often look in the internet for a suitable figur.  So I found this man standing against a wall.  I like his attitude. I don't know who he is or who took the image. It is painted which is made with only three colours and, naturally, white.

The painting is made with handmade oil paint on a wooden panel.  The measures are 11.8 x 15.75 inch  ( 30 x 40 cm).

CHAIN OF LIVE

This painting is an elaborated underpainting. I used a monochrome set of colours and added later a different hue  to separated the object from the background. In this case the floor..

It is made with handmade oil paint on self grounded linnen. The measures are 31.5 x 27.6 inch (80 x 70 cm.)
